To ensure a smooth and accurate filing of your business tax return, please provide the following:

Incorporation or Formation Documents

  • A copy of the documents used to form your business entity.
  • If you’re a new client, submit the previous year’s return (if applicable).

  • For businesses in their first year, this document isn’t needed.

  • A detailed income statement and balance sheet for the tax year.

  • Include amounts and payment dates for any estimated taxes paid.

  • List of all owners, including, Social Security Numbers, Ownership percentages and Number of shares (for corporations)

C-Corporations & S-Corporations

  • Filing Deadline: March 15 (or the next business day if it falls on a weekend).
  • Filing Deadline: Aligns with individual tax deadlines, typically April 15.
  • Extensions can be filed if needed, but taxes owed must still be paid by the original deadline to avoid penalties.

Limited Liability Companies (LLC’s)

LLCs do not have specific federal tax filing requirements. Generally, if an LLC has more than one member (owner), it is required to file a partnership tax return. For single-member LLCs, the entity is treated as a disregarded entity, and its income and expenses are reported on the owner’s personal tax return.
